Pregnant at Age 19

I was barely grown when I had my first son in 1999. I was always known for being very petite—in fact, I was only 99 pounds for the first few months of my pregnancy. I only went up to the 120’s while pregnant with my first child.

…And at Age 20

But since I became pregnant with my second son the next year, I had very little time to get rid of the weight from my original pregnancy. By the end of my second pregnancy, I was up to 150 pounds, although much of it was baby weight, so I didn’t worry too much.

Things Change after You have Kids

In July 2011 at my heaviest weight

I foolishly assumed I would lose it all after delivery, and although I lost some, I was nowhere near my original, pre-pregnancy weight. To add insult to injury, over the next few years, I began to pack on the pounds due to birth control shots and pills, eventually getting back up to my highest pregnancy weight without being pregnant!

In July 2011, I decided to make some changes (a combination of healthier eating, increased fiber, eliminating all prescription medications, increased exercise, probiotics, and supplements) that allowed me to slowly lose weight. I went from being 150 pounds to weighing 109 pounds currently. I may never get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I’m a lot slimmer and healthier than I used to be.

Pregnancy takes an incredible toll on the female form. Suddenly you may struggle with weight, out-of-control curves, stretch marks, cellulite, and a stomach that never seems to go away. But there’s no need to settle for being heavier than you’d like. In fact, I wish I had been advised when I was young—I probably would have been a lot more proactive earlier on!

But There’s Hope…

I wish I had known about helpful weight loss products like FitTea’s PostNatal Fatburner, a 100% natural product designed to help new mothers lose that stubborn pregnancy weight. Statistics show that 95% of dieters won’t lose weight (and keep it off) with exercise and food alone. FitTea’s PostNatal Fatburner can give you the extra boost you need to shed the pounds and keep them off.
